An Account of the Life and Salvation of Gordon Bradford Hazen, Senior   by Robert Griffin Hazen On Sunday, October 8, 1989, less than a month before his death, my father - Gordon Bradford Hazen, Sr. - accepted Jesus as his Savior. At the end of his life, he died knowing peace with God and forgiveness from his Maker. This is my own account of just some of the circumstances and significant events in the life of a man who spent most of his adult years addicted to alcohol - a man who said repeatedly , “I want to drink till the day I die.” Many of the details of the final weeks of his life  I wrote down in the days between his dramatic conversion in early October and his death about a month later on November 3, 1989.
